Pillow Plate: The Sustainable Heart of Heat Transfer

The Pillow Plate represents the technological core of every FIC S.p.A. product: a superior quality stainless steel solution that combines innovation, efficiency and inherent sustainability. Our technologies are successfully applied in sectors such as food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical and industrial refrigeration. The use of Pillow Plate guarantees high performance and optimization of energy consumption in critical systems.
The unique structure of the Pillow Plate is created by joining two stainless steel and/or superior quality sheets through welding (laser or resistance) and subsequently inflating them to create a cavity. Inside this cavity, a thermal fluid – gas or liquid – circulates, ensuring:

  • Maximum heat transfer efficiency
  • Significant energy savings, with reduced environmental impact
  • Longevity and mechanical strength, even in demanding industrial environments
  • Double or Single Embossing: Flexibility for Every Application
  • Double embossing: both sheets, of the same thickness, are deformed to create an optimized structure for complex applications. 
  • Single embossing: only the thinner sheet is formed, while the thicker one remains flat to offer greater stability in high-pressure or load applications.
