1951
On October 5th, FIC (Frigotecnica Industriale Chiavenna) is founded in Chiavenna.
1959
New companies ESPANSI PORONIX and MECCANOPLASTICA are established for the production of expanded polystyrene and the manufacture of polyester resin-fiberglass articles.
1967
Construction begins on the new and current Mese facility to develop the refrigeration components and systems manufacturing sector, in addition to expanding expanded polystyrene production.
1975
Frigomeccanica S.p.A. is acquired, specializing in plant engineering and the construction of ice bank chilled water tanks.
1999-200
Introduction of innovative LASER welding systems and advanced sheet metal processing technologies. Increasing investment in research and personnel training.
2001-2003
Demonstrating FIC's growth, also in terms of quality, is the achievement of ISO 9001 certification. FIC also obtains international EU-PED module H-H1 certification for the design and manufacture of pressure equipment.
2006-2007
Following company growth, the facility expands further with a new 3,000 sq m building. PILLOW PLATE heat exchangers gain increasing importance in FIC production and become the heart of almost all our products.
2008
FIC obtains certification from the French authority LNE for the marketing of milk cooling tanks in France. These same tanks are also recognized as valid measuring instruments.
2010-2018
Further investments in sophisticated laser welding and cutting systems. Strengthening of the technical department and important international collaborations enabled investment in the crucial ISO 3834-2 and ASME U-STAMP certifications.
2023
FIC enters a new phase of growth and innovation, following its acquisition by the Windex investment platform and the appointment of new CEO Maurizio Tursini. Under his leadership, the company initiates a profound cultural and strategic transformation.
