The client, an EPC contractor in the power generation and air pollution control sector, required heat recovery from biomass plant combustion flue gases for energy savings with a system that was easily cleanable given the high content of particulates in the flue gases, combined with ease of installation, performance guarantee, reduced pressure drop on the flue gas side.
Solution
Use of FIC flue gas condenser, built with pillow plate technology, cleaning system integrated in the flue gas inlet hood and designed leveraging FIC-Sical know-how which boasts dozens of references in Northern Europe. The solution delivered the required advantages and the heat exchanger was commissioned.
